Who Cares? Scotland have been nominated for Charity of the Year 2017, SCVO Scottish Charity Awards.

Their voices have inspired the First Minister to announce an independent root and branch review of the care system, with care experienced people at its heart. As a nominee, Who Cares? Scotland is also in the running for the People’s Choice Award, which is up for a public vote.

Over the past 12 months, Who Cares? Scotland has achieved unprecedented success in enabling change of the care system, and empowering the care experienced people of Scotland. They achieved the biggest political commitment to care experienced people in history, and the first with care experienced people at its core.
Who Cares? Scotland has spoken on worldwide platforms about what it means to be care experienced, and challenged stigma and stereotypes:
Who Cares? Scotland have supported their members to understand who they are, and to understand how their care experience is a part of their identity. They have encouraged those who feel they can, to speak out about their experiences, and most importantly, have welcomed care experienced people to be part of the Who Cares? Scotland family.
