Who Cares? Scotland is delighted to welcome employers, educators and anyone with a passion for supporting Care Experienced people into employment to our first ever Care Experience and Employment Summit.

Why attend?
Attending this event will help deepen your understanding of Care Experienced people’s journeys into employment. You’ll hear directly from workers and employers, such as the NHS, Falkirk Council and Disclosure Scotland, about the barriers faced by care experienced people. You’ll also discover the benefits your workforce can gain by employing people who have care experience.
What’s on the programme for the day?
You will learn in a pioneering space with workshops, talks and networking. Speakers include:
- Sonia Tate MBE, Race Lead, Department of Work and Pensions
- Ryan McCuaig, Lecturer of Law, Edinburgh College
- Cameron Forester, Assistant Account Manager, Mind of My Own
- George Dodds, Director of Health Equity & Director of Health and Work, NHS Health Scotland
You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in workshops relating to: Family Firm Approach; Barriers Around Convictions; Trauma Informed Approach; and Education into employment.
